Prepare yourself for class!

  • Make sure you are well hydrated. This means drinking 1-2 litres of water during the day, well before coming to class. You will sweat! (Tea, coffee, fruit juice and fizzy drinks don’t count, as the liquid content of these are not retained by your body)
  • Please don’t eat a full meal for at least 2-3 hours before class, otherwise you may feel nauseous. Your body is going to squeeze, turn, bend and extend – In fact the emptier your stomach, the more enjoyable your practice will be.
  • Bring a change of clothing, a bag to put your sweaty clothes in after and a bath sized towel or two – one for during and one for after class. Fresh towels are also available for hire at the studio for $2 each.

What gear should I wear?

  • Light, fitted clothing such as shorts, singlet top / sport bras, or lycra gym wear is recommended. Avoid sweats, long pants and heavy t-shirts. Remember, you’re going to get warm in there!
  • Bring a change of clothing, a towel and a plastic bag for sweaty clothes!
  • On arrival, please place your shoes on the shoe rack at to the left of the reception entrance.
  • Personal belongings can be stored in free lockers provided (bring a padlock).
  • Please avoid bringing valuables or large amounts of cash.
