We heat the studio to 30°C to warm up your entire body, so you can work deeper in a shorter amount of time, without risking injury to joints and ligaments. You’ll see results faster. The heat makes stretching a wonderful liberating experience. Niggling aches and pains will melt away and old injuries start to heal.

A little about Our Radiant Heating.

Most heating systems blow out hot air. The effect on your body is harsh and drying. It can irritate the mucous membranes in the nasal and throat cavities and dry your skin. They also spread dust and any air born pathogens (diseases like flus, etc). If you work in an office building, then you know all too well what we’re talking about.

So What’s the Deal with Radiant Heating?

Our heating system mimics the natural, radiant warmth of the sun, only without the visible light or burning UV spectrums. Rather than just heating the air around you, radiant heat penetrates deeply below the skin into the muscles, right down to the bones, warming the body from the inside.

  • Radiant heat promotes rebuilding of injured tissue and is excellent for healing burns, scar tissue and skin problems. Radiant heat-rays have a positive effect on the connective tissue cells necessary for the repair of injury (fibroblasts). Radiant heat  also increases cell growth, DNA syntheses, and protein synthesis. All these elements are vital during tissue repair and regeneration.
  • Radiant heat also boosts your immunity and speeds healing. The production of white blood cells (leukocytes) in the bone marrow, as well as killer T-cells in the thymus are stimulated. Along with your bodies barrier (the skin), these are your bodies primary defense mechanism. These are the very cells that are responsible for killing off pathogenic (disease causing) bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites in your body.

  • Radiant heat also enhances your metabolism, increasing circulation dramatically. Your tissues are nourished, oxygenated and detoxified at an accelerated rate. The capillaries are expanded, stimulating increased blood flow, regeneration, circulation and oxygenation.

Radiant heat rays activate and ionize water molecules. The human body consists of around 60% water. Water molecules are unique due to the fact that one side of the molecule is positive charged and the opposite side is negative charged, therefore water molecules have a tendency to cluster like grapes on a vine. If the size of cluster is smaller, it means better performance on infiltrating into and detoxifying out of cells. Penetrating radiant heat minimises cluster size of water molecules to flush out toxins.
